Заместителя мэра Хельсинки обвинили в вандализме, и ему грозит судебное разбирательство. Об этом сообщает агентство Associated Press.

46-летнего Пааво Архинмеки поймали с поличным, когда он с приятелем был занят рисованием граффити в железнодорожном тоннеле, инцидент произошел в середине июня. В связи с этим чиновника, который является одним из четырех заместителей мэра столицы и председателем партии «Левый альянс», грозит судебное разбирательство, а некоторые политики и горожане требуют, чтобы он компенсировал городу расходы на закраску граффити и оставил свой пост.

Представитель Финского агентства транспортной инфраструктуры заявил в комментарии местному телеканалу YLE, что работы по удалению граффити Архинмеки обойдутся городу в 3,5 тысячи евро. Чиновник, бывший в 2011-2014 годах министром культуры и спорта и известный поддержкой уличного искусства, извинился в своих соцсетях за то, что «валял дурака».

Фото граффити Архинмеки было опубликовано в соцсетях самой крупной финской газеты Helsingin Sanomat. В юности политик много занимался рисованием граффити, и эксперты по уличному искусству рассказали журналистам, что рисунок, по всей видимости, был аллюзией на работы уличных художников 1970-х в Нью-Йорке.
