Канцлер Германии Олаф Шольц в интервью телеканалу ARD рассказал, что во времена СССР Украина уже являлась самостоятельным государством, в состав которого входил Крым.

«Уже во времена Советского Союза Украина была самостоятельным государством с членством в ООН. И это, кстати, Россия первая покинула Советский Союз, а не Украина», — заявил он.

Глава государства также подчеркнул, что Крым являлся частью Украинской ССР.

Предположительно, Шольц хотел сказать, что УССР в составе СССР находилась наравне с другими входящими в объединение государствами, которые подписали Устав ООН в 1945 году, однако не учел, что после распада СССР Россия фактически стала единственным правопреемником Советского Союза в Совбезе международной организации.

Помимо этого, он перепутал принятие Декларации о государственном суверенитете России в 1990 году и объявление о выходе из состава СССР в декабре 1991 года. Украина же покинула Советский Союз раньше, в августе того же года.
